Task: Due to the increased consumption of electricity it is planned to change the existing 175-MVA power autotransformers into the new-300 MVA power autotransformers.
Design solutions: It was expected to connect the designed autotransformers to the existing reconstructed system of oil assembling, also install the monitoring system for autotransformers and the communication path till the substation’s communicator. The calculations we have made are showing that the present 330-kW equipment and bus-bar, according to the primary current, are suitable for further maintenance. Due to the calculations, the hardware terminals with the new autotransformers are not suitable for further maintenance therefore, the wires and hardware terminals need to be changed to the new ones.
